VRIDDHI: Scaling up RMNCH+A Interventions

USAID supported VRIDDHI is a technical partner to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to scale up Government of India’s RMNCH+A strategy. VRIDDHI supports six state governments of Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab and Uttarakhand and 30 High Priority Districts (HPDs) therein to scale up RMNCH+A interventions.

The support provided by VRIDDHI aims to bridge the gap between policy and implementation through training and capacity building of health service providers, increased engagement with local facility level stakeholders, evidence sharing for informed decision making and effective dissemination strategies. It also provides inputs to the state counterparts to prepare state specific implementation guidelines. Additionally, the VRIDDHI supported National RMNCH+A Unit assists the Ministry in monitoring and supervising the implementation of the RMNCH+A strategy nationwide, across all 184 High Priority Districts of the country

VRIDDHI provides Technical Assistance through a team of public health professionals placed at National, State and District levels.

VRIDDHI National Technical Support Unit (NTSU) contribute to policy and strategy formulation at national level and provide technical support to the states

National RMNCH+A Unit (NRU) of the VRIDDHI team, assists the MoHFW, GoI to :

  • Track progress of the RMNCH+A interventions in the 184 HPDs in 30 states of the county.
  • Manage national Supportive Supervision
  • Monitoring GoI programs such as Mission Indradhanush, NDD, IDCF and PMSMA

VRIDDHI State RMNCH+A Unit (SRU) supports implementation plan of proven interventions in the six focus states

VRIDDHI District Technical Officers (DTO) support implementation at High Priority Districts (HPDs)
